You have hopefully heard of LONNY, the online magazine comprised of the team of former design-bible, Domino Magazine. In my evening perusing, complete with cup of tea, I came across a page of Lonny with the best advise for the newly relocated (that's you and me, btw!):
"Avoid the urge to accesorize a place all at once, which can lead to a look that feels confided and impersonal. Instead, add meaningful items over time."
