Things that make me smile Wednesday 5/27

My apologies for the tardy post! But I figured that if you don't smile on Wednesday, you sure as HELL need a giggle on Thursday. Here goes.

This dress makes me smile!

This summer tote makes me smile! Beside the seaside...

This white kitchen with splashes of orange makes me smile because it reminds me of a certain someone with similar taste...

This print Sophia makes me smile.
A blonde with an owl?! I love!

These toes and this post made me smile all day after I read it!

Happiest of Wednesday going on Thursday to you!

Things that make me smile Wednesday 5/20

good morning. hope you find some smiles today. here's my inspiration:

"Today there is no audience," print via one of my new favorite blogs: Swirly Girl. She writes a lot about writing and does it so soulfully and honestly. I've loved every entry since I started following.

I showed these udon noodle bowls to joel as soon as I saw them via SoulPretty. How we grinned with the cleverness!

this may be my minimalist husband's idea of visual hell, but how i smile at the thought of such a room! so wrought with memories, color, and age. i want!
(photographer Damien Russell found via desire to inspire)

the idea of writing my weekly letters on such a whimsical, nostalgic, romantic notepad makes me smile indeed.
(found on Reverie Daydream)

Ever since our Emily posted the recipe for these cookies on her ever-lovely blog, I have kept the page open so I could make them. I would say these are guaranteed to make me smile...must get to grocery store!

i am seriously sighing (is that the same thing as smiling?) with nostalgic whimsy at a dining room with all these books! i love the victorian appeal of the room anyway, but add books?!! sigh.

Things that make me smile Wednesday

Bonjour! Bon mercredi. Today's post is all about the adorable eccentricities we collect that make us who we are; the quirky definition of personal style.

Don't you just love this creative vintage suitcase table?

How I smile at the thought of writing with these adorable quote pencils. One of the quotes I especially love, "be silly, be honest, be kind" - emerson

tell me you aren't grinning with silliness at this wee vintage alarm clock. how much do i love owls again?

i don't know which makes me smile more, the mug or the inscription which says, "drink, sleep, read." either way, i might just die if i don't buy this.

though the throw is the item for sale, i cannot stop smiling at the vision of this chair in my home. it would be a grand pairing with the mug, don't you think?

oh this one is quite exciting to me!!! this book counter was found by she and sent to me posthaste! what an idea, no?!!! SUCH SMILES.

with a demure and elegant grin, i find great beauty and romance in this photograph...also sleuthed and sent to me thanks to kjk.

Enjoy your smiles, cheeky!

Can I have a "things that make me tingly" Thursday?

So as I followed you 'round the web, sighing and oohing and ahhing all over myself, I spied this chair.

And then promptly freaked out.
As in oh-my-sweet-lord-I-want-to-make-a-chair-like-that.

And then I saw these.

I mean, COME ON!  They are the "Sausage Dog 500" chairs, and clearly, I need them!  Also clearly, I need a bigger house so I can justify a mass accumulation of fabulous arm chairs.  I think that Jimmie Martin just may be my new pinnacle of funky furnishings.

Spray paint it up, baby!
I'm coming for you with double barrels of silver.
